You don’t have to give up healthy food just because it’s the Big Game. You may enjoy the game day without consuming fatty, oily, or heavy foods. A healthy dish like these lean meatballs is sure to score a touchdown with your guests without incurring a diet penalty.

1 pound of super lean ground pork (95 percent fat-free)
1 pound ground turkey
1 beaten egg
4 minced garlic cloves
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

12 cup ready-made marinara sauce

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and gently coat with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the meats, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands.
  3. Shape the mixture into 24 meatballs (about the size of a ping pong ball) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until thoroughly done.
  4. To add some spiciness, serve with ¼ cup of marinara sauce.
